Do I need a referral?
You do not need a referral to see one of our clinicians; however, if you wish to claim a Medicare rebate for your sessions, you will need a Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral from your General Practitioner or Psychiatrist.
Can I bring my baby?
Of course! You are most welcome to bring your baby along to your sessions. We have ramp access for prams, changing facilities, and you are welcome to use our kitchen area to prepare bottles or breastfeed as you wish.
Do you work with dads/partners?
Yes - we have a special interest in supporting the whole family. Dads and partners are welcome to join sessions when this is helpful, or they can access their own therapy supports with another Foundations clinician.
What does therapy look like for a child?
Depending on the main treatment goals and age of the child, therapy will be flexible and either child-focused or parent-focused, or a combination of both. This approach will be discussed with you as part of the broader treatment plan after your initial assessment.
What are your session fees?
For more information, please visit our fees page.
Do you offer telehealth services?
Telehealth services are available to all clients and you can still claim a Medicare rebate on these sessions with a valid GP Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral. We use videocall platforms that are secure and confidential, with your own unique session link.
Do you offer services to people outside of Brisbane?
Absolutely! Our psychology services are available via telehealth to anyone in Australia. If you live outside of Australia, you may still be able to access our clinicians, depending on the location details of their professional insurance.
